Spicy Peperonata Bruschetta

On our recent Craft Beer Evening, we made canapés on local Bertinet Bakery sourdough and French white baguette. One of the most popular toppings was this spicy peperonata. Great for livening up a party!


Dietary: Vegan

Serves: 6


  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 red peppers, sliced
  • 1-3 red chillies, sliced
  • 100ml white wine
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • basil leaves


  1. Fry the onion, chillies and peppers until soft.
  2. Add the wine and tomatoes and continue cooking to reduce down to a thick sauce.
  3. Add salt and pepper and basil leaves to serve.
  4. Serve on bruschetta.
