We've got some news... Demuths Cookery School is coming to an end

In July 2023, after a fantastic 22 years of teaching people how to cook, we will be hanging up our apron for the last time here in Bath.

It is, of course, the end of an era with Demuths being a Bath institution since the 1980s!

From bakery to restaurant to cookery school, from short courses in Rachel’s home kitchen to a comprehensive Diploma programme, Demuths has evolved over the years we are very excited for the next chapter.

And what a sunny next chapter it will be

Helen, who has led the teaching here for 10 years, and who many of you will know, is off to set up a new cookery school in the south of France! Bringing you more delicious food in the Mediterranean sunshine, with a swimming pool just outside – what’s not to love!?

Helen’s initial focus will be on a new and improved Diploma programme. The new course will align with the existing Demuths Diploma so for anyone half way through, you can continue your learning journey with Helen.

She will also be running a fantastic foodie cookery holiday in September.

Then looking ahead to 2024, there will be a new programme of retreats and longer courses on offer.

But for now…

With the big move planned for Summer 2023, there is not long left to join us here in Bath – we will continue to run our usual programme of courses until the end of July.

We want to make our last 6 months here in Bath a great 6 months. We will run as many classes and supper clubs as we can pack into the diary to make sure there is plenty of availability.

If there is a class that you really want to attend but it’s fully booked or you can’t see it on the calendar, let us know – we will see if we can fit another in!
