Course Details
Caribbean cooking is a fusion of cultural influences and the resulting dishes are spicy and flavoursome. Join us for a day exploring the flavours and the bright bold dishes of the Caribbean.
Rice, plantain, beans, peppers and coconut are just a few of the ingredients that feature in a lot of Caribbean cooking. Combined with spice mixes, marinades and scotch bonnets, the result is distinctive and delicious.
We will make dishes such as:
- Jamaican Ackee Patties
- Jerk Sweetcorn with Plaintain Chips and Dips
- Roasted Peanut, Sweet Potato and Okra Curry
- Rice and Peas
- Coconut, Rum and Mango Cake
The course is a combination of demonstration and hands on participation.
We will finish with meal of all the dishes we have made and you will go home with a comprehensive set of recipes.
