Course Details

Eating Indian Street food is the best way to eat in India, watching the food cooked in front of you and then eating from a cone of paper as you wander through the market at dusk. Here in Bath we will recreate some of our favourites, giving you a whirlwind tour of regional Indian street food.

We will introduce you to Indian street food by making a freshly ground spice mix, demonstrate spice tempering in oil and show you how to use ingredients such as tamarind and jaggery.

We will make mouth-watering dishes such as:

  • Pea & Potato Samosas
  • Tamarind Chutney
  • Carrot and Leek Pakoras
  • Aloo Chaat
  • Coriander Chutney
  • Palak Dal Vada

This evening will be a mixture of demonstration and some hands on cooking with lots of tips, talking and tasting.

The course ends with a sit down meal around our dining table to enjoy the food made. Please bring a plastic container if you wish to take some of your food home with you. You will leave with a full recipe pack so you can recreate the dishes at home.
